FITOOR
When I say "YEH FITOOR MERA LAYA MUJHKO"
I speak of the passion that lives quietly within the heart —
the little flame that turns ordinary souls into something extraordinary.
For passion is not just a desire,
it is a love, a madness, a reason to keep walking when the path fades away.
It is the most beautiful possession a person can carry,
for it does not only create who we become,
but sometimes it also takes away the person we once were.
Maybe life is nothing but a trade of moments —
where to hold onto one dream, we sometimes have to let go of another.
And perhaps, in the race of protecting the fire within,
I forgot to protect the things that once kept me alive.
There are nights when I sit by the window,
alone with my thoughts and the silence of the world,
listening to “Ye Fitoor Mera, Laaya Mujhko Hai Tere…”
and I wonder —
were the things I left behind truly meant to be lost,
or were they the pieces of myself I gave away unknowingly?
But then I realise,
it was my passion that gave me the courage to stand,
the strength to become,
and the hope to chase the person I am yet to be.
In this endless competition called life,
passion will be the reason I win some battles
and lose some along the way.
It will give me moments of pride
and moments of regret.
And when the journey finally asks me what I gained,
and what I sacrificed for the fire I carried,
I alone will have the answer.
Because in the end,
passion is not just a part of life —
it is the beautiful storm that shapes it.
